Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Manali and Local Sightseeing
  • Arrival in Manali: Arrive in Manali via bus or private cab. Check into your hotel/homestay.

    Local Sightseeing: Visit Hadimba Temple, a wooden temple dedicated to the goddess Hadimba. Visit Manu Temple. Explore the Vashisht Hot Springs. Enjoy a stroll through Old Manali and explore the local cafes. Mall Road: Walk around Mall Road for shopping and dinner.

    Overnight Stay: Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza (Spiti Valley) – 200 km (9-10 hours)
  • Start Early: Leave Manali around 5:00 AM for a full-day journey to Spiti Valley.

    Rohtang Pass: Cross the famous Rohtang Pass (3978 meters) with snow-capped views.

    Kunzum Pass: Drive through Kunzum Pass (4551 meters), offering breathtaking panoramic views.

    Chandratal Lake Stop (Optional): If time allows, make a short detour to visit the stunning Chandratal Lake.

    Arrival in Kaza: Reach Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley, by evening. Check into a local guesthouse or homestay.

    Relaxation: Take a walk in Kaza town and relax after the long journey.

    Overnight Stay: Kaza.

Day 3: Explore Spiti Valley (Kaza, Key Monastery, Kibber)
  • Key Monastery: After breakfast, visit the famous Key Monastery, perched on a hilltop. This is one of the most important Buddhist centers in Spiti.

    Kibber Village: Visit Kibber, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, known for its ancient architecture and scenic beauty.

    Langza: Explore the Langza village, famous for its large Buddha statue and fossil-rich grounds.

    Hikkim: Send a postcard from Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office.

    Komik: Visit Komik, one of the highest villages in Asia with its own monastery.

    Return to Kaza: Return to Kaza by evening and explore the local markets.

    Overnight Stay: Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza to Manali – 200 km (9-10 hours)
  • Early Departure: Start early in the morning to return to Manali.

    Scenic Journey: Drive back through the scenic mountain passes, stopping for photos and small breaks.

    Rohtang Pass Stop: If you missed Rohtang on the way to Spiti, you can stop here for more time.

    Arrival in Manali: Reach Manali by late afternoon/evening.

    Departure: Either take an overnight bus or stay another night in Manali, depending on your schedule.
