Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
  • Arrival: Arrive at Srinagar Airport. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel/houseboat.

    Activities: Relax and acclimatize to the altitude. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and visit Nishat Bagh or Shalimar Bagh (Mughal Gardens).

    Overnight Stay: Houseboat/Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 2: Srinagar to Pahalgam (Distance: 90 km, 3 hours)
  • En route: You can stop at Martand Sun Temple and enjoy the picturesque Betaab Valley.

    Activities: Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Explore the local market or enjoy a leisurely walk by the Lidder River.

    Overnight Stay: Hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 3: Pahalgam to Chandanwari – Begin the Trek (16 km trek)
  • Travel to Chandanwari: Early morning, after breakfast, drive to Chandanwari, which is about 16 km from Pahalgam (it’s the starting point of the trek).

    Trek to Sheshnag: Start your trek to Sheshnag (12 km trek from Chandanwari). Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of mountains, streams, and meadows.

    Arrival at Sheshnag: Upon arrival, set up camp or check into designated lodges/camps.

    Overnight Stay: Camp/Lodge at Sheshnag.

Day 4: Sheshnag to Panchtarni (Trek 12 km)
  • Trek to Panchtarni: After breakfast, begin your trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarni (12 km). This is one of the most scenic stretches of the yatra, with views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains.

    Rest: Arrive at Panchtarni and take rest before the final ascent to the Amarnath Cave the next day.

    Overnight Stay: Camp/Lodge at Panchtarni.

Day 5: Panchtarni to Amarnath Cave – Darshan – Back to Panchtarni (Trek 6 km each way)
  • Trek to the Cave: Start your early morning trek to the Amarnath Cave (6 km), the sacred shrine where you can witness the naturally formed ice Shivlinga.

    Darshan: Offer prayers and perform rituals in the cave.

    Return to Panchtarni: After darshan, trek back to Panchtarni (6 km).

    Overnight Stay: Camp/Lodge at Panchtarni.

Day 6: Panchtarni to Baltal – Drive to Srinagar (14 km trek + 3-hour drive)
  • Trek to Baltal: Early morning, trek down to Baltal (14 km), which is easier compared to the ascent.

    Drive to Srinagar: Upon reaching Baltal, drive to Srinagar (3 hours).

    Activities in Srinagar: If time permits, you can visit the Shankaracharya Temple or take a stroll around Dal Lake.

    Overnight Stay: Houseboat/Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7: Departure from Srinagar
  • Transfer to Airport: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.
