Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar and Local Sightseeing
  • Arrival: Arrive in Srinagar (by flight or road). You will be greeted and transferred to your accommodation (houseboat or hotel).

    Shikara Ride on Dal Lake: After checking in, relax with a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake, taking in the scenic views of the lake and the houseboats.

    Mughal Gardens Tour: Shalimar Bagh: The largest Mughal garden in Kashmir, known for its stunning layout and terraced lawns. Nishat Bagh: "Garden of Bliss," situated on the eastern side of Dal Lake with incredible views of the lake and mountains. Chashme Shahi: A small but beautiful garden with a natural spring, offering a peaceful atmosphere.

    Evening: Visit the Hazratbal Shrine, situated on the banks of Dal Lake, or take a stroll through the local markets for some Kashmiri handicrafts.

    Overnight Stay: In Srinagar (houseboat or hotel).

Day 2: Srinagar to Sonmarg (80 km, 2-3 hours)
  • Morning Departure: After breakfast, head to Sonmarg, a picturesque town surrounded by snow-capped mountains and meadows.

    Activities in Sonmarg: Thajiwas Glacier Visit: You can either trek or hire a pony to reach Thajiwas Glacier, known for its stunning views of the ice-capped mountains and glacial landscapes. River Rafting: If you enjoy adventure sports, try river rafting in the Indus River (seasonal). Explore Local Meadows: Stroll through the lush green meadows of Sonmarg and take in the breathtaking views of the valleys and rivers.

    Evening: Return to Srinagar.

    Overnight Stay: In Srinagar.

Day 3: Full Day at Sonmarg
  • Morning Departure: After breakfast, head back to Sonmarg for a full day of exploration. Zojila Pass (Optional): You can visit Zojila Pass (if open), one of the highest mountain passes, offering panoramic views of the Himalayan range. Sindh River: Spend some time at the Sindh River, enjoying a peaceful picnic by the water or a short trek along the riverbanks. Exploring Baltal: You can also visit Baltal, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, and explore its scenic surroundings. Leisure Time: If time permits, spend some relaxing time taking photographs or indulging in a cup of Kashmiri Kahwa tea. Evening Return to Srinagar: Head back to Srinagar after your day trip to Sonmarg. Overnight Stay: In Srinagar.

Day 4: Srinagar – Departure
  • Morning: After breakfast, depending on your departure time, you can either: Visit the Jama Masjid in Srinagar's old city for some historical and cultural insight. Explore Shankaracharya Temple for a panoramic view of Srinagar city.

    Shopping: If time permits, shop for Kashmiri Pashmina shawls, carpets, and other handicrafts from the local markets before departure.

    Departure: Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.
