Day 1: Arrival in Nainital & Local Exploration

  • Morning: Arrive in Kathgodam, the nearest railway station to Nainital. Transfer to Nainital (approximately 1-hour drive). Check into your hotel and freshen up.

    Afternoon: Begin your day with a visit to the Naini Lake. Enjoy a boat ride on the serene lake, surrounded by the Kumaon hills. Visit the Naina Devi Temple, located near the lake. Head to Snow View Point (via cable car or road) for panoramic views of the Himalayas.

    Evening: Stroll along Mall Road and explore the local markets.

    Overnight stay in Nainital.

Day 2: Visit Neem Karoli Baba Ashram & Ranikhet

  • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, located in Kainchi Dham (about 45 minutes from Nainital). Spend time meditating or simply absorbing the peaceful, spiritual ambiance of the ashram. The ashram is famous for its association with Neem Karoli Baba, a revered saint who has inspired many, including Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.

    Afternoon: Post your visit, drive towards Ranikhet (approx. 2-hour drive). Enjoy the lush greenery, pine forests, and peaceful atmosphere of Ranikhet, often referred to as "Queen's Meadow." Visit Jhula Devi Temple and the Chaubatia Gardens, known for their stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas.

    Evening: Return to Nainital for dinner and relaxation at your hotel.

Day 3: Bhimtal, Sattal, & Departure

  • Morning: Check out from your hotel and head towards Bhimtal (around 25 minutes drive from Nainital). Visit Bhimtal Lake and enjoy boating. The island in the center of the lake adds a special charm. Continue to Sattal (Seven Lakes), known for its pristine natural beauty and birdwatching spots.

    Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with views of the lake. Post-lunch, start your journey back to Kathgodam for your return train or onward journey.
