Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Joshimath
  • Morning: Arrive in Joshimath (via road from Haridwar/Dehradun/Rishikesh). The journey is about 8–10 hours from these locations, passing through scenic landscapes.

    Check into your hotel or guesthouse in Joshimath and freshen up.

    Afternoon: Visit Narsingh Temple (dedicated to Lord Vishnu) in Joshimath. It is one of the sacred sites for Hindus, and Joshimath is also one of the four ‘Maths’ established by Adi Shankaracharya.

    Explore Shankaracharya Math, the place where Adi Shankaracharya is believed to have attained enlightenment.

    Evening: Stroll around the local Joshimath market. Pick up local souvenirs, woolens, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 2: Joshimath to Auli – Explore Auli
  • Morning: Post breakfast, take the Auli Cable Car (one of the longest cable car rides in India). It provides stunning panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, lush forests, and Auli’s ski slopes. Reach Auli and spend time at the Auli Ski Resort, even if it’s not winter, the meadows and surroundings offer great views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Mana Parbat peaks.

    Afternoon: Visit the Auli Artificial Lake, one of the highest man-made lakes in the world. This serene spot is perfect for photography and taking in the beauty of the surroundings. If interested in trekking, go for a short trek to Gorson Bugyal, a beautiful meadow around 3 km from Auli.

    Evening: Return to Joshimath or stay in Auli for a peaceful evening. If you stay in Auli, enjoy the mesmerizing sunset view of the Himalayas from your hotel or resort. Overnight stay in Auli or Joshimath.

Day 3: Departure from JoshiMath
  • Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel. If time permits, you can visit nearby spots like: Tapovan Hot Springs (a 15 km drive from Joshimath), known for its natural hot water springs. Kalpeshwar Temple (about 1 hour away), one of the Panch Kedar temples.

    Afternoon: Begin your return journey to Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun.
